Winter is not one of my favorite seasons. It is a time where I loath the sun's absence, so for me, winter is a time of mourning the sun's warmth and golden rays. In the Victorian era, mourning was carried out elaborately and women often dressed in deepest black from head to toe. Being in mourning was a process that often lasted weeks or even months. Mourning was the theme I sought to portray through this photo shoot. It is representative of the process I endure through winter's lack of sun and warmth.
